The Lally School of Management has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International—The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer one, two, or all of the following programs: undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.
AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than 5 percent of the world’s business programs. Today, there are 755 business schools in 51 countries and territories that hold AACSB Accreditation.
“We thank the AACSB for continuing to recognize the quality education we deliver. We are committed to giving Lally School students an exceptional learning environment where they integrate technology across business functions, apply the latest research to real-world business challenges, and engage directly with big data and powerful computing resources through hands-on projects and teamwork from day one,” said Thomas Begley, dean of the Lally School of Management. “Lally students also benefit from the personal attention they receive in small classes and quality faculty at Rensselaer to enhance their ability to guide businesses toward addressing global grand challenges while they pursue business opportunities.”
The Lally School of Management was founded in 1963 as an integral part of Rensselaer, America’s first technological university. Building on the world-class facilities and leadership at Rensselaer in science and engineering, the Lally School is dedicated to developing aspiring business leaders who have a passion for innovation and can thrive within today’s technology-driven marketplace.
Lally’s diverse portfolio of academic programs includes a Bachelor of Science in Business and Management; Master of Business Administration; Master of Science degrees in Business Analytics, Management, Quantitative Finance and Risk Analytics, Supply Chain Management, and Technology Commercialization and Entrepreneurship; and a doctoral degree in management.
Rensselaer offers a program that enables students to complete bachelor’s (including engineering and science) and master’s degrees in five years or a combined six-year Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in management and law.
The Lally School’s approach is a reflection of Rensselaer as The New Polytechnic, a view of the technological research university as a fresh collaborative endeavor across disciplines, sectors, and global regions to tackle grand challenges that are too large for individual disciplines to take on.
