University Events is recruiting volunteers (ushers and marshals) to assist with Commencement 2018. This year’s ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 19, at 8:15 a.m. in the East Campus Athletic Village (ECAV) Stadium.
The volunteers have always been critical in making the ceremony a memorable occasion for our graduates and their families. Rensselaer volunteers add a personal touch and familiar face to the Commencement experience. Commencement would not be possible without your dedicated time and experience.
Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a campuswide picnic for the graduates, their families, and the entire Rensselaer community.
Anyone wishing to volunteer for Commencement and/or the picnic must complete the Commencement Volunteer form: http://commencement.rpi.edu/faculty-staff/volunteer. The form incorporates the work authorization form information required by Human Resources. The date for this year’s training session is May 9, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the ECAV arena.
