Human Resources recently hosted the 42nd annual Employee Service Recognition and Retirement Dinner at the Hilton Garden Inn. Employees who have completed service in five-year increments were honored, as well as employees who retired during the last fiscal year.
“All of you here tonight have given Rensselaer a lasting legacy, and I am immensely grateful for your accomplishments and dedication,” said President Shirley Ann Jackson in her remarks. “You help to make Rensselaer the most exciting place on Earth to study, teach, research, and work. I consider myself extremely fortunate to work alongside you.”
President Jackson was recognized for 15 years at Rensselaer by Board of Trustees Chairman Arthur Gajarsa ’62. Also marking milestone years were Vice President for Finance Virginia Gregg, who was honored for 30 years, and Vice President for Research Jonathan Dordick, who marked 15 years at Rensselaer.
“This annual event is a wonderful Rensselaer tradition and one of the times that we can formally thank our staff for their service, unwavering commitment, and priceless contributions to Rensselaer, said Vice President for Human Resources Curtis Powell. “I can’t say this enough—we appreciate this opportunity to say thank you for your service, hard work, dedication, and commitment in making Rensselaer a world-class technological research university and a wonderful place to work.”
