On Tuesday, Sept. 2, Rensselaer hosted a public forum featuring U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) Assistant Secretary David Danielson, U.S. Congressman Paul Tonko, and Rensselaer Vice President for Research Jonathan Dordick, who discussed the Capital Region’s role as a national leader in clean energy manufacturing, workforce development, and building an innovation economy for the 21st century.

The event was part of a continuing conversation about the area’s ongoing efforts in the advanced manufacturing sector, with discussion of opportunities for collaborations with DoE and other federal agencies.
