More than 3,000 alumni and guests are expected to return to campus for Reunion & Homecoming the weekend of October 9-12. Class Reunions, athletic team gatherings, Greek get-togethers, and former student group reunions will be taking place, along with a number of special events.

Program highlights include the President’s State of the Institute Address, the FanFest carnival midway at the ECAV terrace, a presentation at the George M. Low Gallery, and the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering Centennial Celebration.

A new event this year is “The Auto Show—Presented by Rensselaer Motorsport,” held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Vintage and unique autos will be on display, and members of the campus community are welcome to showcase their own cars. Visit formularpi.org/car-show for details.

Voice Play

An Evening of A Cappella will feature VoicePlay, a group that gained fame on TV’s The Sing Off.

Members of the Rensselaer community, their families, and guests are invited to attend a special program on Saturday night at EMPAC—An Evening of A Cappella with VoicePlay. The group gained fame on TV’s The Sing Off.

This evening of entertainment also will feature all four of Rensselaer’s student a cappella groups. Tickets are $15 per person for faculty and staff, $8 for RPI students, and are on sale now at the EMPAC box office.

“Please encourage the alumni you know to join us for this exciting weekend,” said Jeff Schanz, assistant vice president for alumni relations. “If you see our alumni visitors on campus, please take some time to speak to them, answer any questions they may have, and help to make sure they have the best possible experience. Your participation in this important campus tradition can make all the difference!”
