The event will be held in the Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies Auditorium on Wednesday, April 6, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., with a reception immediately to follow.

The topic of Bitcoin and the blockchain, a shared public ledger at the center of the Bitcoin network, has been a trending topic not only among technologists but also among financial executives. While some are developing their firm’s blockchain strategy, others are still unsure about the advantages and disadvantages of the technology.

The talk can assist entrepreneurs and business people with the steps needed to consider Bitcoin in their business strategy or future planning. The state of the entrepreneurial ecosystem for cryptocurrencies and the economic, societal, and political implications of the technologies will also be discussed and explored.
