Rich Bollam ’66.

In tribute to their outstanding commitment to the Institute and their fellow alumni and alumnae, an outstanding group of volunteers have been recognized by the Rensselaer Alumni Association (RAA) and the Office of Alumni Relations with the 2015 RAA Awards.

The awards were presented at the annual RAA Awards Dinner on Oct. 1 during Reunion & Homecoming weekend.

Rich Bollam ’66 was honored with the Distinguished Service Award (DSA), the highest award presented by the RAA. The DSA recognizes “truly distinguished service to a profession, to the nation, or to humanity.” Bollam was selected in part for being the visionary force behind the creation of the Rensselaer Alumni Association Endowment Fund. The fund is designed to encourage engagement and philanthropic support among students and alumni/ae around the world.

“The RAA Awards program allows us to publicly recognize our most valuable alumni partners—our outstanding volunteers,” said RAA President Teri Kozikowski ’85. “This year’s group of honorees is truly amazing.”
