Rensselaer is a supporter of the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce. Through the Rensselaer relationship, all faculty and staff are entitled to member benefits. “Our partnership with The Chamber is vital, and the benefits offered encourage support of the local vendors and the engagement of our faculty, staff, and students in our community,” said Curtis Powell, vice president of human resources.

These benefits include networking opportunities, monthly programs, special events, member-to-member discounts, Country Club of Troy membership discount, and an opportunity to participate in the Tech Valley Global Business Network.

“We are proud of our partnership with Rensselaer and encourage all staff and family members to take advantage of the benefits of being a member,” said Chamber President Linda Hillman. “Our programming offers valuable development opportunities for all staff and the member-to-member discounts can be used for personal necessities as well as professional purchasing decisions and are a great way to save money throughout the entire year. Next time you’re at an event, please come introduce yourself to me. I’d love to meet you!”

Upcoming events include the 31st Annual Troy Victorian Stroll on Sunday, Dec. 8 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and a Holiday NetworkingPlus Luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at the Century House in Latham. Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 a.m. and the program will run from noon to 1 p.m.
