Slovenia Chef Bozidar Marin will be on campus February 10 and 11 as part of the Sodexo’s 2014 Global Chef Program.

The Global Chef Program is a monthlong international chef residency that provides an opportunity for Sodexo’s top chefs worldwide to travel to different countries and share authentic international cuisine with students, faculty, staff, and the community.

Chef Bozidar Marin will prepare classic dishes from Slovenia and will provide demonstrations of meal preparation that involve the students and the public. “There will be ample opportunity to interact with him and experience firsthand the cultural and educational benefits of his visit on campus,” said Victoria Devitt from Sodexho.

Chef Marin graduated college with a degree in hospitality and tourism in Maribor, Slovenia. He started his career as an assistant cook shortly after graduating high school.

Chef Marin joined Sodexo more than a decade ago. He is currently working as the district manager at Restavracija Sodexo Slovenska Bistrica.

Evelyn’s Café is offering a three-course lunch for $15 on Monday, Feb. 10, from noon to 3 p.m. Chef Marin’s offerings in the dining halls are included in the all-you-care-to-eat dining plan.
