“I am pleased that David is joining our leadership team,” said President Jackson. “His experience and expertise in strategic, creative communications will help us advance public understanding and advocacy for Rensselaer. His accomplishments in both higher education and health care throughout his career make David an outstanding fit for this position, and I look forward to working with him in strengthening our communication strategies and outreach efforts.”

“Rensselaer is a top-tier technological research university with global reach and impact, and it is exciting to be given an opportunity to help tell the story of the faculty, students, staff, and alumni who are addressing the critical issues impacting our society and helping to transform the world,” Brond said. “Under the leadership of President Jackson, Rensselaer is poised for even greater levels of excellence and prominence, and I am honored that she has asked me to help her and Rensselaer bring its commitment and ideas to the community, state, region, nation, and the world in a comprehensive way.”
