Why Not Change the World? The RPI Podcast kicks off its fourth season with an episode focused on promising research projects aimed at stopping SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, from spreading and infecting humans.

Jonathan Dordick, professor of chemical and biological engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, discusses the work he is doing to trap the virus using a decoy strategy. This effort is part of a collaboration with Robert Linhardt, professor of chemistry and chemical biology at Rensselaer.

Lucy Zhang, professor of mechanical, aerospace, and nuclear engineering at Rensselaer, talks about her research on particle flow and how it is being applied to the ongoing pandemic.

Their ongoing work represents just two of the ways that Rensselaer researchers have risen to the range of global challenges created by COVID-19.
